Janet Evanovich
Janet Evanovich is an author born in South River, New Jersey. She is best known as the creator of the character Stephanie Plum, a lingerie buyer from Trenton, New Jersey, who loses her job and becomes a bounty hunter to fill her fridge. Biography After studying at Douglas College in New Jersey, Janet Evanovich decided to go into writing. Sending many manuscripts to several editors, she received as many refusals back. Returning to be a secretary she received a call by an editor interested in Second Chance at Love, a romance novel today forgotten by all. After twelve books of the same kind, she took a new approach and launched into detective novels. She builds Stephanie Plum with a well rhythmed style, strong characters as the funny Grandma Mazur.
